I have to strongly disagree. I really don't think that is a fair
statement. If you survey the patches applied by the various distros
and compare them to each other I think in general you will find that
Debian tracks upstreams quite well in that comparison. Many of the
other popular distros are often far worse. (Grr... Some of those are
very annoying.)
But this is a mailing list about the GNU coreutils project. Let's not
degrade into a distro mud-slinging fest about which distro is better
or worse than the rest.
