I just updated my cygwin to the latest (I was running a version from
January before that).
There seems to be a problem with "cp -a" and "cp -p" where they no
longer preserve
the timestamp on the copied file (this used to work as the man page said).
cp --preserve=timestamps still works.
The /usr/bin/cp I have is dated May 12 and is of size 80896.
Has the functionality of cp changed? Is this a bug? Am I somehow doing
something
wrong (I'm just running "cp -a" and checking the result with "ls -l"
though)?
I'm running Windows 98 if that matters.
Thanks.
