This is a useful option, but I don't like the name : 'used lines' or even
'true lines'
I would prefer wc to have options to ignore 'empty lines' or 'blank lines'
the way diff does.
That makes 2 related options.

PS: Along the same idea, one might want to ignore comment lines (according
to various syntax rules), but that would lead us quite far from genericity
