Hi,
i'd love to have an option in ls (e.g. like --total) that would print the
total number of files in a directory (files_index).
I know of ls | wc, but I still feel that the number of the files listed is a
function that somehow belongs somehow to ls.
On the other hand is there a reason why this is missing ?
I added the --total option just to 'ls.c' just to try it out ...
I would appreciate your answer,
Regards
Thorsten
