I might found some "du" bug. |

Hello,
I am not sure if it's a bug or not, but I encounter some strange
behavior with du,
So I thought of emailing you just in case:
I was logged in as user1,
I entered the directory /home/user1/one (which has the permission 100)
The I tried to run "du /home/user1/two" (which has the permission 777),
du exit with the following error: "du: cannot open current directory:
Permission denied"
I can understand that /home/user1/two has to have read access in order
for du to calculate the size of it,
but I really can't see why /home/user1/two, which is the directory I run
the command from, has to have read access.
what du has to look in there ?
Best Regards,
Amir.
