in thread.cpp, in void Thread::terminate(void)

 currently reads

if (!priv->_tid || isThread())
      return;

should read
if (!priv->_tid || isThread())
{
      if( priv->_hThread)
      {
            BOOL b = ::CloseHandle( priv->_hThread);
            priv->_hThread = NULL;
      }
      return;
}
