With the recent Classpath CVS version (as of 17 Mar 2006) your example is
executing correctly and is fully interoperable. I have checked all possible
combinations (sun server - we client, we client - sun server and we both client
and server), the test case prints "1+2=3" as it should.
The RMI system was modified several times as I am now implementing the
java.rmi.activation.*. Probably the bug was fixed as a side effect for these
modifications. I would suggest to check a fresh version from the CVS and try
again.
As the test case runs for me ok, I close the bug as ureproducible. I you still
have the problems, we may reopen it later. Thanks a lot for cooperation
creating GNU Classpath!
