Looks like some sort of bug since I get the same result. Here is the output
that I get regarding P2 when I run it with debug on:
cfengine:floyd: End editing /tmp/p1
.....................................................................
CompareToFile(/tmp/p1)
ReleaseCurrentLock(lock.cfagent_conf.floyd.editfile.P1._tmp_p1)
PutLock(last.cfagent_conf.100.floyd.editfile.P1._tmp_p1)
LockLog(Lock removed normally )
DoEditFile(/tmp/p2)
IgnoredOrExcluded(/tmp/p2)
P2 is excluded!
P2 is excluded!
P2 is excluded!
Job start time set to Tue Dec 4 18:19:15 2001
Also, when you run cfagent with the -d option, the -f [filename] option is
ignored.
