Patch Level: 0
Release Status: release
Description:
bash hangs when a command containing an umlaut (overstrike character)
is cycled through via the command history (arrow-up)
Repeat-By:
Mistype ls.* for example as ls ü.*
Command is not found, of course. Later on, try to cycle to a previous
command using the arrow-up key. This stops and blocks the shell when
the command containing the umlaut is found.
