        I am using history -s inside a script to add new commands to 
        history and I call that script as below

        prompt> source ~/bin/commandbrowser.sh 
                or
        prompt> . ~/bin/commandbrowser.sh 

        and the commandbrowser.sh script looks somewhat like this
