Bash Version: 2.04
Patch Level: 11
Release Status: release

Description:
Bash maps 'v' to vi_edit_and_execute_command in the vi_movement_keymap,
which bothers me considerably. I can't seem to get rid of it through
any manipulations to $INPUTRC, perhaps because that is processed before
    the 'v' mapping is added.

Is there any way to disable this short of hacking and recompiling bash?
