Hi,
After working with a Freeware project for a while
(http://www.flightgear.org) there is a feature which i really would like
to be added:
When using CC an Irix in combination with STL (Standard Template
Library) the best way to use AR is by defining AR="CC -ar -o" because
SGI wants to get a grip on about anything for optimization purposes. The
problem is, this results in a definition of "($AR) cru" in the makefiles
(which will end up as: CC -ar -o cru", a combination which isn't allowed
for the SGI CC compiler).
The best solution would be defining a ARFLAGS variable which defaults to
cru, but could be altered by the user.
Would this be possible?
