[Bug-autogen] Trying to compile autogen 5.3.6 on SCO 5.0.4 |

I'm getting the following error when I attempt to compile autogen 5.3.6 on
SCO 5.0.4:
make[2]: Entering directory `/scratch/sco5.0.4/autogen-5.3.6/columns'
top_builddir=.. \
../agen5/autogen -L ../autoopts -Taginfo -bcolumns -DLEVEL=section \
../columns/opts.def
Error in template ../autoopts/aginfo.tpl, line 161
fserr 22: cannot open for write /tmp/agtmp.a006Wc: Invalid
argument
make[2]: *** [gen-stamp] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory `/scratch/sco5.0.4/autogen-5.3.6/columns'
make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/scratch/sco5.0.4/autogen-5.3.6'
I've checked and the file /tmp/agtmp.a006Wc is being created, mode
644,
owner root, group root.
Doing a search for "open for write" in the source code and putting in
debug
statement, the problem is from the function ag_scm_out_push_new in the file
autogen-5.3.6/agen5/expOutput.c
I'm using gnu rx 1.5 for the regex library. I call the configure
script with the
following arguments:
CC=/bin/cc ./configure \
--with-regex-lib="-L/usr/local/lib -lrx" \
--with-regex-header-path=/usr/local/include \
--prefix=/usr/local/packages/autogen-5.3.6
Any help/suggestions?
