Hello developers,

this is a bug report against AUCTeX 11.87 from the Debian BTS system,
affecting Debian release 11.87-1.

ATM I have no time to investigate it, therefore I am not sure if it is
really an upstream bug or not; however, from what the submitter writes,
it seems not unlikely.
