[Bug-AUCTeX] 11.84; TeX-command-default: "XeLaTeX" sets the major-mode X

Subject: [Bug-AUCTeX] 11.84; TeX-command-default: "XeLaTeX" sets the major-mode XeTeX?
Date: Wed, 7 Feb 2007 16:10:53 +0100

Hello!

When using

        %%% Local Variables:
        %%% mode: latex
        %%% coding: utf-8-unix
        %%% TeX-command-default: "XeLaTeX"
        %%% TeX-master: t
        %%% End:

and making an Emacs bug report, the Major mode is reported to be XeLaTeX:

          locale-coding-system: utf-8-unix
          default-enable-multibyte-characters: t

        Major mode: XeLaTeX

        Minor modes in effect:
          TeX-PDF-mode: t
          shell-dirtrack-mode: t
          show-paren-mode: t

How can that be? Where is this XeTeX mode defined? How can I make use of this XeTeX support?
