Hi Xtian, there is a good reason for the current default: you can use the history file in order reconstruct a particular workspace state (provided that the history length is sufficiently large). If you don't want SVN updates or new installs to override your settings in /etc/gnu-apl.d/preference then you can create a personal file in ~/.config/gnu-apl/preferences which will not be touched by new installs and is read after the other file (causing its setting to succeed). /// Jürgen On 07/21/2016 03:15 AM, Christian
