[Bug-apl] accepting portability patches?

I note that the initial release of GNU APL contains some Linux-specific source 
code.  Is this intentional, or would you be willing to accept patches to 
increase its portability?

I ask because I have some interest in running it on systems that are 
POSIX-compliant but not Linux-based.  I am willing to work on that myself, but 
I don't want to waste your time sending you the patches if you would not want 
to incorporate them.
