Well, there are other annoyances with VLC and MP3 playback, as I've
just found out. Seeking is horrible, and I don't think this is
necessarily a Bongo bug. With the mpg321 program, seeking is smooth
and I can hold down <right>. Not so with VLC.

But it might be a good principle anyway, to give specialized tools
(like an mp3 back-end) precedence by default.
