IMHO, Github is not a software but a service provided by a profit driven
company. I'm not sure the free software in your context means: free of
price? profit-driven company free? or even freedom to modify which I
believe is what FSF to begins with.

I apologized for my rudeness. I didn't realize you are one of the
maintainers. Good work to keep this old project going.

I had a couple ideas to fix bison back then when I'm using it. But I had a
hard time to find out who/where maintain the bison repo. I thought Flex is
hosted in Github. Thus, Bison should have been the same. But it turns out
that Flex is not a GNU project at all.

In any case, if you want to attract more traffic for testing or get PRs
from others, I still recommend we should move to Github. FSF should not be
in anti-commercial position. Github is a place that people can share and
modify other's software freely. I don't see any problem for our FSF's
purpose that promote software development freedom vs closed source.

You don't have to send out zipped source code in an unknown URL. IMHO, it
is a bad behavior on Internet. I still need to verify you are who you are
even you give me a hash code. If possible, I'd like to see GPG signed the
commit in Bison git repo even you don't want to move to Github. In that
way, we can trust nobody messed with the candy.
