I think Stereoscopic Player uses DirectX, but Bino uses OpenGL.
That may explain a lot of the difference you are experiencing.
i915 is quite old, is probably not optimized for OpenGL, and I don't even know 
if it supports all the required OpenGL features (though if Bino gives no 
warning, it should).
If you want to play stereoscopic movies on your system, you may have to pay for 
the Stereoscopic Player license...
