[Axiom-developer] FW: [FrontPage] MuPad under trouble

Axiom Developers,

This information was forwarded to the Axiom Portal by an
anonymous Axiom user.

At http://fuchssteiner.info

there is some sad and shocking news about MuPad. Of the three,
Mathematica, Maple and MuPad, MuPad is the closest in spirit
to Axiom both in mathematical approach and in availability to
the research community.

I sincerely hope that MuPad can over come these problems and
prevail against politics, greed, and closed minds. Dare I suggest
that open source development would be their best way forward?

Sciface has stopped providing MuPad light (which was a limited functionality
free edition) and the cost have also been raised. You may also check the
