CMUCL is an intended target lisp for Axiom. Indeed, the previous
CVS at tenkan had the CMU files available.

If CMUCL can build correct databases and GCL can't then it indicates
that the problem is in the underlying common lisp. We can test if
this is true by generating a database from the same set of NRLIBs
using CMUCL and GCL and then comparing individual entries.

If the problem is not in the common lisp but is due to axiom code
then the databases should be broken in similar ways.
