Is Windows a requirement for that machine?  The Unix systems I've seen
don't suffer from this issue (Linux, FreeBSD, IIRC also Solaris).

The IT department here has stated: "Linux is nothing but a toy",
obviously a victim of Micro$oft Brain Washing.  Its either
Windows or work on Resume (anyone want a copy?).
