OK, I retested this on my ATmega128 part that I was using previously.
The 32K file that was programming in 12.54 seconds using the STK200
(PPI interface) now prorams in 8.78 seconds.

Thus you got your predicted 40% improvement, nice work!  More
significantly, this is also 40% _FASTER_ than the STK500 for the same
file, since the STK500 programmed that part in 12.54 seconds.

And yes, the data still verifies as correct :-)
