[avr-gcc-list] ATMEGA128 Randomly hanging!!!! help!!!

hi..
 i mailed a few days back that my atmega got fried...well it was not fried but 
started working dead slow.......it gets back to normal speed anytime and goes 
back to dead state anytime....i cant figure out the problem..i have redone the 
oscillator soldering,changed the crystal to a slower one...but still no use..it 
just hangs randomly and doesnt even repond to the programmer which by the way 
is ponyprog...
