Dear listmembers,
when building and especially testing automake, tons of messages are output,
and, moreover, I get a decent amount of messages like
************************************* Only for demonstration purposes!
fn99-1.0/12345678/12345678/12345678/12345678/12345678/12345678/12345678/1234567....(longer
than shown)
fn99-1.0/12345678/12345678/12345678/12345678/12345678/12345678/12345678/1234567....(longer
than shown)

*************************************

or like (check4.tst is a candidate here ...)

But at the end it says:
******************************************

what leads me into a certain uncertaincy whether the final "PASS" is ok or not;
I am just guessing whether it might be possible prevent make from spitting out
such messages as they happen currently. I would be much more happy if it would
say "XFAIL" in such cases. By this way I am quite insure whether the FAILs are
expected or not.
If anyone would be interested in looking into the log, just let me know; if
there was an example how to cover such messages (an example would be highly
appreciated :-), I would try to fix the remainder, then).
Thank you very much for the work on automake and the support so far,
take care
Dieter Jurzitza
