  And by the way, thank you for truely awesome response speed and totally cool 
way that you just jump in a get things done. I think the open source world

I was thinking that too. I did run those tests with /bin/ksh as opposed to 
the bash shell.

I'll see if I can find the enthusiasm for it ;-)

wow. nice one there.  Who would have guessed. I could go dig in at the 
OpenGroup website and check on this but again, one has to ask "why?"

As far as I am concerned we have a test that passes as expected now regardless 
if one is root user ( stupidly ) or otherwise. All other tests seems to be 
fine. I say move on to other items.

I salute that thinking.
