[PATCH] {maint} configure: remove extraneous 'eval's from AM_RUN_LOG invocations

* configure.ac: Remove extra 'eval's from AM_RUN_LOG invocations;
for example, instead of "AM_RUN_LOG([eval $PERL --version])",
simply use "AM_RUN_LOG([$PERL --version])"
