That shouldn't be such a bad problem, since I've tested the patch with
SunStudio C compiler before pushing, and it behaved as expected (in fact
I'd be quite wary of pushing an untested patch ;-)
So, even if the patch fails to fix the IRIX and OSF5.1/Tru64 spurious
failures, it was worth applying anyway, because it fixes at least a
SunStudio spurious failure.
