That would have been a lonnnnnng time ago. My copy of Automake
1.4 doesn't handle it either.

There are two other bug reports regarding this missing
uninstall-hook:

While the second report can be rewritten using uninstall-local,
the first (removing empty directories left after uninstall)
seems to be a case where uninstall-local is not enough.
