Unfortunately that pattern matches "foo=bar; break", no?
You'll need something a good deal more sophisticated, I'm afraid.
Perhaps it'd be simpler just to remove the check.

D'oh! Quite right. I think the test has very limited value, so I'll propose a patch to remove it entirely.
