need code for byteorder conversions

Hi guys/girls. Happy new year.

 

Please help me. I desperately need some robust/portable code for a common.h file that defines ntoh{16,32,64} and hton{16,32,64}. This seems like something that must be encountered often so I thought Id chance my arm and send out this request for code (any code I get in response will be much better than any ill-functioning solution I could come up with).
