I was aware of it, so it wasn't really an accident: it bothered me that
the ChangeLog entry and the commit entry should be encoded differently,
more so with me generating the latter from the former. I guess I should
have separated the change, and announced it. But I didn't think it
would be problematic for editors to cope (at least for mine it wasn't
;-).
