Looks good to me except that using texinfo 5.2 I have

  % makeinfo auctex.texi
  # works fine
  % makeinfo --html auctex.texi
  # works fine

but

  % makeinfo --pdf auctex.texi
  auctex.texi:11: unknown command `AUCTeX'
  auctex.texi:11: misplaced {
  auctex.texi:11: misplaced }
  auctex.texi:38: unknown command `tolerance'
  auctex.texi:38: unknown command `emergencystretch'
  auctex.texi:43: unknown command `AUCTeX'
  auctex.texi:43: misplaced {
  auctex.texi:43: misplaced }
  auctex.texi:43: warning: @title missing argument
  ...

and the same for makeinfo --dvi.  texi2dvi and texi2pdf work fine.
