Did you see the patch I sent here? It fixes the buffer size. You can get
it from the patch manager at the project page if you lost the mail.

What I don't understand is why you saw a memory leak with the large buffer
size, since the plugin AFAICS doesn't do any software buffering and it
uses the snd_pcm_hw_params_set_buffer_time function. One thing that
might explain it is a plug device. Are you using a plug device by any
chance?
